Overview

Vacation Tracker (“the App”) is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains how your data is handled.

No Accounts or Login

The App does not require user registration, login, or any form of authentication. There are no user accounts.

Local-Only Data Storage

All vacation, excursion, packing list, and notes data is stored locally on your device using Room (SQLite). Your data never leaves your device except as described below.

Network Requests

The App makes network requests only for:

• Weather forecasts: Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) of your vacation destination are sent to the Open-Meteo API to retrieve weather data. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Location autocomplete: When adding a vacation, the Google Places API is used to help select a location. This is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

No Data Selling or Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.

Notifications

Any notifications generated by the App are local to your device and are not sent through external push notification services.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this document.
